Marjorie Barretto, in her interview with Ogie Diaz in his YouTube channel, revealed her version of truth about her past relationship with Dennis Padilla to the comedian’s relationship with their three children -Julia, Claudia and Leon.
Marjorie narrated how Dennis physically and verbally abused her when they were together as a married couple.
“I know how Dennis is. Short-tempered, explosive. Walang pakialam sa breeding, manners,” Marjorie said.
Marjorie denied mistreating Dennis’ mom Mama Lina in Claudia’s wedding.
“She hugged me. She kissed me. She was happy to see me. Hindi mugto ang mata niya,” Marjorie related.
“When I left you 18 years ago, I removed your power over me,” Marjorie said. “Ayokong maramdaman ng mga anak ko ‘yung naranasan ko.”
“I don’t need to brainwash my children. Number one, Dennis is doing a good job hurting them. Taga-pacify ako. I help the healing,” she said.
As to Dennis’ claim the he was “father of the bride” who was relegated to a mere “visitor” this was how Marjorie explained it: “The wedding is about the bride and the groom, it’s not about you Dennis!”
“Ang mga guest ‘dun nag-iiyakan, mga kapatid, you know, like, ‘Wow, Claudia’s getting married.’ Bakit ang iniiyak mo ‘yung hindi ka nakalakad? This is not about you. You should be ‘Wow,’ crying because ‘Oh my God, ang ganda ni Claudia nung pumapasok ng simbahan, ‘di ba? Wala sa lugar ang mga iniiyak mo. Tungkol pa rin sa iyo ‘to. Ang parents love is a sacrificial love. We sacrifice for our children. Binigay mo na sana ‘yung araw na ‘yun sa bata. Hindi mo na nga pinalaki, hindi mo na nga inalagaan, hindi mo na prinotektahan.Binigay mo na sana ‘yung araw na ‘yun sa bata. Bigay mo na yung happiest day of her life sa kaniya,” she added.
