Now it can be told. There is a reason why Bimby and Joshua Aquino dropped by to visit First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos recently.
President Bongbong Marcos shed light on the controversial visit of Kris Aquino’s sons to his wife.
The First Lady posted on her social media account photos of the visit.
President Marcos said in an interview that Joshua and Bimby dropped by Liza’s office to give pasalubong. But more than that, they were there to express their gratitude to the First Lady.
“The reason na pinuntahan nila si First Lady ay simple lamang. I think it was Kris Aquino who needed some assistance for something,” the president said.
“It was just to help them for their travel arrangements. Tumulong si First Lady at yun lang. Sabi lang magpapasalamat sila,” he added.
The president appreciated the gesture of Joshua and Bimby.
“I think it’s a very fine gesture on the part of the Aquino family. I think it sort of put a little more personal, a human interaction between our families,” he said.
Marcos said the Aquinos and his family are okay.
“Well, we’ve always been okay. We just don’t agree politically,” he said, noting that the First Lady is related to the Aquinos.
“But what the reports did not say is that Liza is their aunt. Dahil ang kanyang auntie ay napangasawa si Don Pepe, the eldest brother of Cory. So, they are related kaya’t hindi naman nakakapagtaka, kilalang kilala niya — kilalang kilala niya ‘yong mga pamangkin niya very well. So, that… And so, they came at nagbiyahe sila.
