Baron Geisler acknowledged the natal day of his daughter Sophia and greeted her in her eighteenth birthday yesterday, August 13.
In a short video, Baron said: “Hey, you, I just wanna greet you a happy birthday.”
Baron made the greeting while inside his car and posted it on his Instagram Story.
Sophia Angela Asistio is Baron’s biological daughter from Nadia Montenegro.
Although Baron did not mention Sophia’s name in his birthday greeting, it was obvious that the actor was greeting his daughter.
Nadia gave birth to Sophia last August 13, 2006. Two years after, veteran columnist and TV host Cristy Fermin revealed Nadia’s well-kept secret.
In an interview last March 2024, Baron revealed that he has a daughter “somewhere out there” and missing her terribly as “I didn’t get to hug her.”
With Baron’s revelation, Nadia was forced to admit it in her exclusive interview with broadcaster and vlogger Julius Babao.
“‘Yung mga nangyari sa buhay ko in the past, siguro umabot sa 17, 18 years na itinago ko—hindi ko ito itinago sa mga tao na dapat nakakaalam. Hindi ko rin ito itinago sa mga mahal ko sa buhay, hindi ko itinago sa anak ko, kay Boy, at sa mga kapatid ko,” Nadia initially said
Nadia stressed that she fixed her life and she was successful “Napatawad ako ng Panginoon; namayapa si Boy nang okay kami; maayos ang mga anak ko sa pagkakaintindi ko.”
Referring to her daughter Sophia, she said:
“Pinalaki ko siya ng punong-puno ng pagmamahal, punong-puno ng respeto sa tatay niyang si Boy, sa nagbigay ng pangalan sa kanya, sa nagpaaral sa kanya, sa nagmahal sa kanya. Walang puwedeng magkwestiyon outside our circle.”
“Wala akong pakialam sa kanila… Nung nagyari ‘yan, nung nagtrending, kalmado lang kami sa bahay,” Nadia said, onviously referringbto Baron’s revelation last March that he has another daughter.
Nadia is not keen on seeing her dad after Baron’s revelation.
“Kasi isang beses pa lang sila nagkita tapos biglang inannounce na agad. So nasaan do’n ‘yung intention mo na magkaroon ng relationship, or gusto mo lang ng views?” she said.
“Ilagay mo sa tama kung anong intensyon mo kasi ramdam na ramdam ko. Ayaw na ng anak ko (na makipagkita sa ‘yo). And give me a reason why. Are you even worth it to be called a dad?” Nadia said.
In her interview with Boy Abunda in Fast Talk, Nadia said: with Boy Abunda noong nakaraang buwan, tinuldukan ng aktres ang kontrobersiyal na usapin. “I do things not because I want to hurt people. I do things now because I want people to learn from my mistakes.”
“Hindi ko ikinakalat ito para mag-entertain, para pagpiyestahan ninyo ang buhay ko, ang buhay ng anak ko. I want this to end because my daughter is turning 18 soon and she does not need to come out to this world and answer questions for her mother,” she said. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
