Kapuso actress greeted Barbie Forteza New Year with her heart broken as she announced on Instagram today, 2 January, that she and boyfriend Jak Roberto have parted ways.
Posting a photo on Instagram where she is covering her face, Forteza announced her breakup.
“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened,” Forteza initially quoted Dr. Theodore Seuss, an American children’s author and cartoonist.
“Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love,” she said.
Forteza then called Roberto’s love “exceptional.”
Seemingly, she dropped hints as to why they broke up, saying, “But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together.”
“Beautiful goodbye,@jakroberto,” she said.
She then thanked Roberto for “loving me the way you did.”
“I’m excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” she said.
Almost pleadingly, Forteza hoped “for everyone’s understanding and wish you can help us pit this matter to rest.”
