LAW enforcement agencies are running after an “enterprising” Filipino who tried to ship some P2-million worth of illegal drugs wrapped inside a folded Philippine flag.
Authorities seized more than P2 million in illegal drugs, which were found wrapped in parcels that were covered by the Philippine flag at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City.
In a belated report, airport authorities claimed that the dope was discovered inside a parcel that was declared as “kitchen wall decors” during a joint inspection administered by Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) personnel, the Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG).
Investigation showed that the parcel which came from Bacoor, Cavite is bound for Palau with a certain Cui Lin Bo of Koror Palau, Fuji B Restaurant, as consignee.
Meanwhile, 20 plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance which turned out to be shabu was also discovered in another parcel bound for Italy from an unnamed sender from Muntinlupa City.
