It will indeed be a merry Christmas for the family of two-time Paris Olympics gymnast Carlos Yulo’s family.
This is guaranteed as businessman and former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson announced last Oct. 26 that he would give the Yulos a Christmas gift of P1 million. The said amount will be given to the Yulo family in December.
Speaking before the press inside a hotel in Bacolod City, Singson said that the P5 million he promised to give to the Paris Olympics champion, still remains.
Singson simply wants the Olympic champion to make amends with his mother, Angelica, as he wants the young Yulo “to be the role model of a family.”
Singson believes that whatever mistakes Angelica did to her son, the champion gymnast should put everything as water under the bridge and he “should forgive her.”
“Honor thy father and thy mother, that’s very important,” Singson intoned.
Singson made the statement after attending the Masskara Festival in Bacolod where he was accompanied by his daughter Ako Ilocano party-list group Rep. Richelle Singson.
“If he reconciles with his mother, he will get the P5 million,” Singson assured, noting that there is no deadline for Carlos’ decision. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
