A La Ocean deep rant

Richard Gomez had us laughing.

‘Di kasi kami na-inform na with his tough demeanor ay bigla siyang kakambiyo.

We’re referring to his brave aria on Facebook where he ranted against the very bad traffic he recently experienced along EDSA.

What he was suggesting is for the government to open the exclusive bus lane to private motorists to ease traffic.

“2 hours in EDSA traffic and counting. From Makati, Ayala SM EDSA pa lang ako now. Eh QC ang punta ko. 1 or 2 hours pa ba?

“Ilang bus lang ang gumagamit ng bus lane, bakit hindi buksan during heavy traffic para mas lumuwag ang traffic,” came Richard’s rant on Facebook.

Ano raw?

The bus which accommodates 30 to 50 persons, gusto mo pang agawan ng lane sa EDSA.

And when Richard’s Facebook rant was picked up by the media before he deleted it, the has-been actor seemingly berated the writers, saying: “Paki check nga kung deleted yung post ko? Pakisabi sa mga ungas na writers tingin tingin din kapag may time.”

This guy is kakaibang nilalang, ha.

I thought he was man enough to stood by his ground.  When bashed, his cowardice reared it’s ugly head and he was obviously afraid at the public’s collective reprisal kaya bigla niyang binura  ang kanyang post.

I thought matapang ka.  Bakit bigla kang tumiklop?

Dapat pinanindigan mo ‘yung post mo. Hindi mo dapat binura.

Like flooding, traffic has become a perennial problem which no politician was ever able to resolve.

Ang problema sa traffic ay isang katawa-tawang scenario kung saan nagpasikat ang ilang politico na sosolusyunan nila.

Did it happen?  Hindi naman, ‘di ba?  Panay lip service lang ang nangyari which many if not all politicians are prone to do.

As a congressman, do you have ambag in solving the traffic problem?  Wala naman, right?  So, why rant?

What you should be doing, if you have malasakit talaga, is to file a  bill to investigate where the more than 500 billion pesos a year budget go to address flooding.  Or craft a bill to really address the traffic problem.  Or better yet, file a resolution to cut the amount of cars being sold so they will not add up to traffic.

Ang ungas ay mga politikong all talk and no substance.  No in between.

Repository of flop seryes

Lotlot (talunan) were the primetime shows of the Kapuso network.

After the successive lost in the ratings game between Pulang Araw and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, scriptwriter Suzette Doctolero pleadingly requested  Kapuso televiewers to watch their show on television.

“Oy, lambing lang sa mga nagustuhan ang #PulangAraw. Ayos lang na manood kayo sa  #PulangArawOnNetflix. Pero nood din sa tv ha, kahit buksan ninyo lang,” Suzette tweeted  last  August 21.

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana echoed the same sentiment, asking her   Instagram to watch Widows War on television after  Pamilya Sagrado gobbled it up in the ratings game.

“Sana sa TV po kayo manood while we air, instead of online po, mga Kapuso,” Carla said last August 29.

Suzette and Carla’s pleas were indicative of the low ratings that their shows were getting.  Any which way i see it, It is an indirect admission of defeat.

Why are Pulang Araw and Widows War not rating?

Maybe because it’s not pangit kundi ubod ng pangit.
