Gabriela solon urges Pres. Marcos Jr. to sack anti-poverty czar amid insensitive, anti-poor statements

House Assistant Minority Leader and Gabriela Women’s Party Rep. Arlene Brosas called out Presidential anti-poverty czar and disbarred lawyer Larry Gadon following his recent statement that those who think life is hard are merely “imagining things.”

“I’d like to remind Larry Gadon that the continuous increase in the prices of basic goods and services is a fact and not a figment of our imagination. The fact that the Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation doesn’t even believe that poverty exists in our country is proof of his incompetence,” Rep. Brosas said.

Brosas said.

The lawmaker challenged President Marcos Jr. to remove Larry Gadon from office and stop giving concessions to his campaign supporters.

“Gadon doesn’t even have a track in record in poverty allegiation, but because he is a Marcos loyalist, he was given a seat in the government,” Rep. Brosas said.

Brosas concluded.
