A CONGRESSMAN tweaked former Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque for putting up a “joint bank account” with a male model whom he repeatedly claimed to be his assistant.
During a quad committee hearing held by the House of Representatives, no less than his “executive assistant” Alberto Rodulfo “AR” dela Serna confirmed he and Roque had a joint bank account.
“I have a joint account with Atty. Harry Roque… sa pagkakaalam ko po Mr. Chair, closed na ang account na iyon,” dela Serna told the panel.
When asked by House Committee on Public Order and Safety chairperson Dan Fernandez about the money that was deposited to the joint bank account, dela Serna said the largest amount deposited in a single transaction reached P3-million — “Sa pagkakaalala ko, that account was used for election.”
He likewise told the quad comm withdrawing huge amounts ranging from P1.2 million to P1.8 million from their joint bank account for election purposes — “Once a month yun for election purposes. Payroll ng mga tao,” said dela Serna in reference to the volunteers helping campaign for then senatorial candidate Roque.
He also disclosed having traveled abroad with Roque six times in 2023 — “The first trip was a trip to Hong Kong po. Sa pagkakaalala ko, Mr.Chair, iyon po yung premier night ng isang movie po with the Marcos Family… iyong movie po ni Senator Imee, may premier night po that time.”
It was then that Antipolo City Rep. Romeo Acop butted in and claimed that there are records showing foreign trips in China.
“Yes, to Beijing,” Dela Serna confirmed.
When pressed why Roque trusted him that much, dela Serna then claimed that the former presidential spokesperson is just appreciative, adding that he too feels the same way to his employer.
“Sana’y po kasi ako magtrabaho kasama si Sir Harry… alam ko yung medical needs ni Atty. Roque, maraming beses na po ako nagbiyahe sa kanya, not only abroad but also here in the Philippines.” (ANGEL F. JOSE)
