Alice Guo flying back home tonight?

IN what appears to be a sudden turn of events, the Philippine government must have struck a deal with Indonesia’s offer to swap prisoners as dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo is reportedly homebound tonight.

According to Sen. Raffy Tulfo, Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Marbil, both of whom are already in Jakarta, will serve the Senate-issued warrant of arrest and accompany Guo back to Manila.

Tulfo however would not provide details of the flight but claimed that Guo would leave Indonesia on Thursday afternoon (today).

Interestingly, the Department of Justice (DOJ) appears unaware of Guo’s return, even as Justice Assistant Secretary Mico Clavano claimed that they have yet to receive an official request from the Indonesian government for a prisoner swap in exchange for the custody of Guo.

Guo has gone incognito since being dragged into the raided offshore gaming firms behind scam farms, human trafficking and money laundering. (ANGEL F. JOSE)
