NETIZENS TO XIAN LIM: MAGPINTA KA NA LANG

As far as those who’ve already seen Kuman Thong are concerned–sad to say–the film is best relegated to the bin of oblivion.

(For purposes of brevity) KT is supposedly a horror flick. Ergo, anyone who gets to watch it is expected to be on tenterhooks.

Under the helm of Xian Lim, KT was filmed en toto in Thailand. If I’m not mistaken, the duration of the film shoot was even shorter than the so-called pito-pito movies which Regal Films used to churn out many years ago.

KT’s prod team was led by Xian’s girlfriend Iris Lee. It was so much like a “husband and wife” collab “united” on Philippine soil and “honeymooned” in Thailand.

Xian must be so romantically overwhelmed he was supposed to be directing a creepy film.

Unfortunately, it turned out otherwise.

“Ang bagal ng pacing! Parang hindi alam ni Xian ang mga dapat kasunod na eksena. Ang lamya!” the netizens exclaimed.

These suckers for horror films at that couldn’t help but sigh in sheer frustration: “Sayang lang ‘yung ginastos nina Xian at Iris sa Thailand when they could have saved had the filming taken place here instead!”

In a past interview, Xian had expressed his desire to give a shot at directing GMA teleseryes.

Given the unfavorable reviews of his directorial project, will GMA still give him that chance?

The more cruel netizens have also criticized Xian’s acting: “Hindi na nga magaling umarte, hindi pa kayang magdirek nang maayos!”

After careful and thorough scrutiny of Xian’s thespic and directorial skills–or lack of it–they (particularly those who’ve seen his art exhibit) only have one piece of advice for the actor.

“Magpinta na lang siya! I think he makes a far better visual artist than an actor or film director!”

Can’t Xian make it up the next time around? Second chance: why deprive him?
