Vice President Sara Duterte appeared unaware of the controversial Pax Silica Industrial Hub project in New Clark City, Tarlac, a planned 1,600‑hectare development strongly opposed by several personalities, organizations, and affected communities.
Supporters asked Duterte for her reaction during an interview in The Hague, Netherlands, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
“Any thought po about sa Pax Silica na balak pong itayo sa Pilipinas?” a woman asked, according to a video posted by supporter Alvin Sarzate on his YouTube channel.
“Ano? Ano? Fox Sili… Fox Silic?” Duterte replied.
“No, Ma’am. Pax Silica. Do you know anything about that?” Sarzate clarified.
“I cannot comment on that,” Duterte said, ending the exchange.
