The Oklahoma City Thunder are on top of the basketball world once again, crowned 2025 NBA Champions after a thrilling Game 7 win over the Indiana Pacers, 100–90.

Leading the charge was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who delivered a Finals MVP-worthy performance with 29 points, 12 assists, and 5 rebounds in 40 minutes of intense action. With Indiana star guard Tyrese Haliburton forced to exit early in the first quarter due to an undisclosed injury, OKC seized the momentum, erupting with a massive 34–20 run in the third quarter that proved to be the game’s turning point.

Despite the Pacers holding a slim 48–47 lead at halftime, the Thunder came out of the break firing—posting an explosive 18–8 surge in the first five minutes of the third and never looking back.

Haliburton’s brief seven-minute stint still produced 9 points and a spark for Indiana, while reserve guard Bennedict Mathurin stepped up big time with 18 points and 12 rebounds. But it wasn’t enough to stop OKC’s determined charge to glory.

This win marks the second NBA title in franchise history, the first dating all the way back to 1979 when the team was known as the Seattle SuperSonics.

After hoisting the trophy, Shai thanked his teammates, family, and the loyal fans who stood by them. As Thunder Nation erupts in celebration, all eyes now turn to Oklahoma City for news on the upcoming victory parade. The storm has officially rolled in—and this time, it’s bringing a championship banner with it. šŸ†āš”ļø
